Overcoming Language & Culture Barriers in the Tax Preparation Industry

On Thursday, September 19, the Council for Electronic Revenue Communications Advancement (CERCA) presented at the IRS Tax Forum in San Diego on "Overcoming Language & Cultural Barriers in the Tax Preparation Industry."  The Panel previously presented at the IRS Tax Forums at National Harbor, Maryland and New Orleans, Louisiana.

At the Tax Forum in San Diego, the CERCA Panel was honored to have Commissioner Rettig speak at the beginning of the panel.  Participating was CERCA Board members Shannon Bond-Wolters Kluwer, Michele Geraci-Jackson Hewitt, Timur Taluy-FileYourTaxes.com, Carlos Lopez, EA, Executive Director of Latino Tax Pro and Victor Aledo of the IRS.

The panel discussed ways tax professionals can serve the growing multi-cultural market.
