Have you learned the basics of corps & partnerships and ready to learn more? Understanding partnership and corporate tax returns is essential for serving business clients and growing your practice!

Filing Forms 1065, 1120, and 1120-S can be complex, with intricate rules on income, deductions, and tax calculations. That’s why we’ve designed this in-depth Level II training to walk you through each form line by line, ensuring you gain the confidence and skills needed to prepare accurate business tax returns.

What You'll Learn:

✔ Form 1120 (Corporations) – This session will go more in depth on form 1120 specifically schedules C, J, K and L. It concludes a hands-on workshop covering a line-by-line preparation of Form 1020 with schedule L (balance sheet). We will also be going over Earning and Profit (for dividends), schedule M-1 and schedule M-2.

Presented by: Josue Rojas, EA

✔ Form 1120-S (S Corporations) – This session builds on foundational S Corporation knowledge and prepares tax professionals to handle more complex compliance issues. Participants will learn shareholder basis tracking and reconstruction, understand the principles of financial statements and their impact on tax reporting, and gain step-by-step guidance for completing Schedules K, L, M-1, and M-2.

Special emphasis is placed on the Accumulated Adjustments Account (AAA) — how it’s calculated, its interaction with shareholder basis, and its role in determining the taxability of distributions. Through hands-on case studies and practical examples, attendees will reconcile book-to-tax differences.

Presented by: Nadia Rodriguez, CPA

✔ Form 1065 (Partnerships) – TBD
